Mobica becomes a preferred POWERVR services partner for Imagination Technologies

The two companies will collaborate to maximize the availability of skilled engineering resources supporting POWERVR graphics and video IP for consumer electronic devices

Kings Langley, Hertfordshire - February 15, 2010 - Mobica, a leading provider of world-class software services to the mobile and consumer electronics industry formally announced today a partnership with Imagination Technologies, the world's leading supplier of multimedia system-on-chip Intellectual Property (SoC IP). The two companies will work together to provide a range of engineering services for customised and optimised graphics and video solutions based on the POWERVR portfolio of technologies to mobile, embedded device and chipset manufacturers, maxmising performance and the end user experience.

The partnership builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies, who have together delivered a series of POWERVR projects. Mobica has supported Imagination's customers and partners by providing embedded multimedia expertise through the development and integration of POWERVR graphics drivers, driver conformance, and video decoder optimisation. This partnership will continue to grow as more industry-leading players adopt POWERVR technologies as an integral part of multimedia acceleration suites, and require implementations tailored to their requirements.
